"I hate to put it off but the labor unions paid a lot of money to send me back to Juneau," Scott Kawasaki said with a nervous chuckle, looking over his left shoulder.
Kawasaki just won his reelection campaign against challenger Leslie Hajdukodivonovich in Senate District P, much to his chagrin as his dream has always been to open a motorcycle dealership.
"It would be Kawasaki's Harley Davidson!" he said, spreading his arms overhead. "They would come from far and wide to buy one of the finest American made bikes ever...made!" Kawasaki said he'd already ordered the tee shirts for the shop over the summer, assuming he'd lose the election. He showed your correspondent a stack of shirts that read "Ain't No Charlie Davidsons At Kawasaki's". A single tear fell down his cheek as he held one up to his torso.
"I was born in Tokyo and always dreamed of owning a Harley," he growled, clinching the door frame to his sauna. "And I want to share that feeling with the world! But Scott (Kendall) is telling me that I have to go back to Juneau for another term."
After our interview, Scott hopped on to his Street 500 and drove off over glare ice blasting Joe Esposito's You're The Best.
