Lt. Governor Pens Open Letter to Head of Division of Elections Demanding Answers

On Friday, Lt. Gov Nancy Dahlstrom posted an open letter to her socials to the head of the Alaska Division of Elections, demanding answers as to why there were still precincts that hadn't reported their results from Tuesday.

"It is shameful that nearly a week after the polls have closed, we still have a big question mark hanging over so many races whenever I Google it," she wrote. "It is the current year and we all have AOL; even in the Bush. There's no excuse for the reporting to take this long!"

Dahlstrom went on to call on Governor Dunleavey to open an investigation into the Division of Elections leadership to look for evidence of malfeasance "so that we can begin to trust in democracy again". "I will not rest until a new leader is put in place so that we can avoid this disaster next cycle," she concluded.
