After nearly four years of denying the actual percentage of inflation on food, President Joe Biden, who's term ended months ago, went off script at a recent fundraiser to admit that the prices on food due to inflation from poor monetary policy was happening and was actually a good thing.
"Listen, look...we couldn't admit that food inflation was up over 300% because that's just bad. Looks bad..is bad. But is there a silver lining? Of course there is! You people look better! More expensive food means people are eating less which means they're losing weight and that's good for public health."
The president didn't reference how food inflation drives people toward buying more prepackaged foods and away from buying healthier options like Kix cereal and popcorn (for fiber).
"If there's one thing I want to be remembered for, is reducing all you fatties," he concluded before getting on his tricycle and riding off of the stage.
